Jon Norling - Director

Jon is a Director and Principal of the economic and market research consultancy firm, Urban Economics.  Urban Economics was established in April 1998.  Jon had previously spent ten years with a similar firm, Plant Location International (PLI), in the positions of Queensland Manager and Director.  He has particular skills in consulting to the retailing, commercial office space, residential, industrial, regional economic development and the tourism and hospitality industries.  He often appears as an expert witness in a range of jurisdictions.

Kerrianne Bonwick - Managing Director

Kerrianne is Managing Director and Principal of Urban Economics.  Kerrianne has fourteen years experience in consulting to the property sector, and has specialised in the provision of consulting advice to the retail, residential, retirement, office space and industrial sectors.

Anthony Meulman - Consultant

Anthony Meulman
Anthony is a Consultant with Urban Economics, commencing in 2001 as a Research Analyst and subsequently promoted to Senior Research Analyst and Consultant.  Anthony has completed a Masters in Regional Development and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree, both awarded by the University of Queensland. 

Ashley Perkins - Senior Research Analyst

Ashley joined Urban Economics in February 2005 as a Research Analyst after graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Economics degree in 2004.  Ashley was promoted to Senior Research Analyst in July 2006 and is currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Urban and Environmental Planning at Griffith University.

Hannah Seymour - Senior Research Analyst

Hannah joined Urban Economics in November 2005 as a Research Analyst and was promoted to Senior Research Analyst in January 2007.  Hannah graduated from James Cook University in Townsville with a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Tourism Management dual degree in 2003, majoring in marketing and tourism. Hannah was awarded the Townsville Port Authority Prize in Tourism and the 2002 Jupiters Limited Prize.  Hannah has a particular interest in business fundamentals, tourism property, the retail industry and qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Louisa Davies - Senior Research Analyst

Louisa joined the Urban Economics team in 2006 as a Research Analyst and was promoted to the role of Senior Research Analyst in October 2007.  Louisa has completed her Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honours degree majoring in Geography, as well as her Bachelor of Social Science degree majoring in Geography and Resources and Environmental planning. 

Rimu Nelson - Senior Research Analyst

Rimu joined Urban Economics as a Research Analyst in 2006 having graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Economics, majoring in International Trade and Finance. Rimu has been responsible for a range of studies in industries including retail, childcare, residential, commercial office, industrial, economic development and environmental studies. With a particular interest in development economics, Rimu specialises in retail and employment studies.

Edward Dent - Research Analyst

Edward Dent
Ed is one of the most recent additions to the Urban Economics Team, joining as a Research Analyst in February 2008.

Ed has recently completed university studies, attaining a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland in June 2008. Subjects relating to quantitative and qualitative analysis, environmental and planning law provided the catalyst for his keen interest in property economics. Ed is responsible for composing and carrying out research for a number of different consultation products which Urban Economics provides.

David Cramb - Research Analyst

David Cramb
David graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Business Management, majoring in Business Economics in 2008 and is one of the latest additions to the Urban Economics Team joining in February 2008. As a Research Analyst David has acquired a strong command and understanding in quantitative analysis and has been responsible for a range of studies across a range of industries including retail, childcare, residential, commercial office, industrial, and economic development. With a particular interest in development economics, David specialises in retail and employment studies.

Tracey Fletcher - PA to the Directors

Tracey Fletcher became part of the Urban Economics team in 2006, working part-time as an Administrative Assistant. Tracey is now Personal Assistant to the Directors and is responsible for a range of tasks including diary management, business development, social events and general administrative and research duties.

Ruth Dutton - Administration Manager

Ruth Dutton
Ruth Dutton joined Urban Economics in 2007 as the Administration Manager.  In this role Ruth is not only responsible for the day to day running of the office but is also your first port of call for any questions regarding Urban Economics and would be more than happy to assist you in any queries regarding Urban Economics' experience and expertise.
